Welcome to the Pharmaceutical HVAC Blog. I’m Manel Fernandez, and I’ve been immersed in the Pharmaceutical Industry for 27 years—seven years dedicated to Validation and twenty to Design and Construction. I’m passionate about my work and thrive on sharing knowledge with others.

 

Several years ago, I envisioned creating a modest blog to share my experiences with fellow engineers, technicians, and anyone interested in pharmaceutical cleanrooms.

 

The idea sparked after a discussion with my former boss, a senior pharmaceutical engineering director, regarding condensation in cooling coils. He illustrated the process on a whiteboard, indicating a linear path. It took some effort to persuade him that in reality, condensation occurs before reaching the saturation point.

This led me to consider the value of explaining pharmaceutical (and general) HVAC concepts to a broader audience.

 

And so, here we are. The primary goal of this blog is to exchange experiences and insights related to design, construction, and validation within the pharmaceutical industry.
